Earn Your Number

How to Earn Points

Baseline.

Each player will earn 10 points for each year of high school (max. 40) and 20 points for each year of high school lacrosse played (max. 60).

Additional.

Between September 2026 and March 2027, track or report to a coach through Remind your points earned, based on the following:

  • 4 points per week of strength and conditioning attended (note: you must attend at least one day each countable week and check in with your school’s strength and conditioning coach) (max. 312);
  • 30 points for recruiting a new player (a freshmen who played youth lacrosse does not count) who registers for lacrosse with his high school before Mar. 12 (unlimited);
  • 50 points for earning a 3.8+ fall GPA (proof will be required) (max. 50);
  • 50 points for playing a fall sport and 50 points (max. 50); and
  • 50 points for playing a winter sport and 50 points (max. 50).

Note: While returning seniors (Class of 2027) will have a higher initial points baseline, it is possible for freshman (Class of 2030) to accumulate as many if not more total points.

How the Process Works

Each student-athlete will have a points total as of March 12th and will qualify for one of the groups below. The protocol for jersey number selection will then follow:

  • Navy (250+ points): Qualifiers may choose to keep their 2025-2026 numbers; then, if anyone would like a different number, priority will be based on total points.
  • Red (100-250 points): Qualifiers will choose from remaining numbers, with priority based on total points.
  • White (10-100 points): Qualifiers will have their numbers chosen at coaches’ discretion.
